2/23/07 - NEW SNOW ALERT - Trails are packed and groomed for your safety and the safety of the dogs. Weather conditions change quickly so always please give me a call a couple of days before your trip and leave your cell number. Always check your home phone messages and email the evening before your scheduled trip for further instructions. Thanks for your patience! Pat
After you are comfortably settled in the sled, I give the command. . . Hike Hike! It instantly turns quiet and the power is obvious as the team sprints off with snow flying about. Soon the dogs settle into a smooth rhythm. Enjoy majestic views of Mt. Shasta, Mt. Lassen, and Castle Crags aboard a dog sled powered by a beautiful, friendly and highly trained canine athletes. I invite you to join the dog's and myself for the high-pitched excitement of the dog's during hook-up, the grace and silence of running the trail, and the teams rewards of love and dog snacks at the trail's end. The 7 ft. x 22" basket sled with a cordura sled bag encloses you and is warmly padded for your comfort. Try riding on the back runners with the musher to experience driving the team. Standard rides are approximately one hour. Custom, group, training rides and Gift Certificates are available. Toilet facilities and limited parking are available at the trailhead. Passengers should arrive 30 minutes prior to departure time. Dress with layers of clothing. No rides are given for infants. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
* Total weight up to 350 lbs. For rides with a total weight of over 350 lbs. Call to discuss. This requires that I add more dogs to the team and will increase the cost of your ride. Other alternatives are group rides - take shorter trips changing the passengers for each loop.
